About the IIM-ILD Working Group

The IIM-ILD Working Group is one of the core MCTC’s working groups, dedicated to interstitial lung disease (ILD) associated with myositis. 

Any MCTC member interested in ILD is welcome to join this group, which meets quarterly for project updates and feedback. 

Within IIM-ILD Working Group, specific Project Teams focus on active project work and convene every other week.
To be considered for participation on a Project Team, prospective members must submit both a letter of interest (1-2 paragraphs) and an updated CV.

2025 IIM-ILD Project

The ILD working group’s overarching project, “Standardizing the Definition of Progression in IIM-ILD,” is one of the ten MCTC 2025 initiatives. 

To support this goal, three subprojects have been established, each led by its own dedicated project team.

1. Defining IIM-ILD

Uniform the nomenclature , differntiating between IPAF/IIM-ILD

2. Characterizing Disease State

Standardizing image and other clinical features to define criteria for progression, rapid progression, exacerbation or improvement of ILD 

3. Standardizing Cohort and Clinical phenotype

Developing standardized data collection (CRFs, ICD codes…)
